Overview

The National Coding Fair 2026 is a celebration of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.

This year’s edition features two exciting challenges:

  1. Do Your :Bit Challenge – powered by Micro:Bit
  2. Minecraft Challenge – powered by Microsoft Minecraft Education

Together, these challenges empower students to combine technology with imagination and contribute solutions that make Lebanon a better, more sustainable place.

Do Your :Bit Challenge

Do Your :Bit is a global micro:bit challenge for students aged 8–18. It invites young innovators to blend creativity and technology to design solutions for the United Nations Global Goals.

This year, Lebanese participants will focus on:

  • Goal #9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
  • Goal #11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • 8 – 14 Years | No Code
  • 8 – 14 Years | With Code
  • 14 – 18 Years | With Code
    (Teams: 1–3 students)

No Code: Students submit project ideas in the ideation phase.
With Code: Projects that integrate Micro:Bit with a clear emphasis on programming.

$40 / project (includes breakfast & snacks)

  • Medal of Participation for all students
  • Trophy + Place Medals for Top 3 winners in each category

Minecraft Challenge

The Minecraft Challenge tests students’ coding skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Teams will face a surprise challenge on the spot, where they must design and build within Minecraft Education.

Note: To qualify, students must first complete the Minecraft Certification.

  • Minecraft Voucher: $50 – includes e-learning, practice, and exam
  • Coding Fair Fees: $0 – no additional participation fee
  • Medal of Participation for all students
  • Trophy + Place Medals for Top 3 winners
